The terms governing your use of the SOC2Start.io marketing website.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing the SOC2Start.io website, operated by soc2start LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. The website & the product

These Terms cover this marketing website. Use of the SOC2Start product is governed by the agreement presented at signup or, for enterprise customers, the applicable signed enterprise contract.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site.
  • Do not submit unlawful, infringing, or malicious content via our forms.
  • Do not scrape or use automated systems in violation of these terms.

4. Intellectual property

SOC2Start LLC owns the SOC2Start name, logo, website, site content, and software. No license to that intellectual property is granted under these website Terms.

5. Infringement notices

To report alleged infringement, email security [at] soc2start [dot] io. Notices are accepted by email only; no prescribed notice format or contents are required.

6. Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Content is for general information and is not legal, security, or audit advice.

SOC2Start helps you get audit-ready; it does not issue audit reports or guarantee certification — your auditor issues the report.

7. Limitation of liability

Liability for enterprise customers is governed by the applicable signed enterprise contract.

For users who sign up directly without an enterprise contract, the sole monetary remedy for service unavailability is a prorated refund of the monthly service fee for the dates the service was unavailable. Except for that remedy, the platform is provided “as is” and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, SOC2Start LLC has no other liability under these Terms.

8. Termination

We may suspend or restrict access to the site at any time if these terms are violated.

9. Governing law

The laws of the State of California govern these Terms. The state and federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
